A BEAUTIFUL MIND

A BEAUTIFUL MIND

This is actually a mental exercise, I call it that because in the movie called A beautiful mind starring the actor Russell Crowe, he takes on the character of a brilliant man who is diagnosed with schizophrenia, some of the medication that he was prescribed made him feel less then the man he was, long story short, in order for him to contend with his mental condition without going back on these particular meds, he starts to use this type of mind over matter technic so to speak, telling himself that the people he was seeing weren’t real and the voices and events he was playing out in his mind didn’t really exist, so in some ways, I make good use of this Beautiful mind exercise, when I get in that hormonal roller coaster state, I try to convince myself that the only reason I feel this way is because of my condition, I’m not really that horrible person that I feel like right now, I don’t really want to die! Or take my life! I don’t really want to do any of the crazy shenanigans my mind is telling me to do right now! I just have to convince my sane self of that! But her mental wires are a little  bit crossed at the moment, I have to let her know that she has so much to live for! And that she has people in her life who really do love and care for her, she’s got places to go! People to see! And things to do! And loads of things to create and share with others! What?! And although she feels like she’s at the end of her rope right now! If she just takes a moment to take a deep breath and look around her, she’ll find that rope has lowered her down into this beautiful, colorful, peaceful and waterfall draped garden, and not! On the ledge of  some  building that her mind want’s her to think she is! I have to let her know that what she’s feeling at this very moment! Will soon pass, it always does! She just has to ride it out! Look through that photo album of events in your mind when you can remember having the most fun of being with loved ones and doing the things that made you enjoy life! Reflect on those times, and plan for when you can do something like that again. This exercise takes a lot of concentration and it’s a mental fight! But it really is a powerful and helpful tool that has gotten me through some really tough periods, perhaps it will be  just as useful to you. For some of us, our minds can be an asset or liability, this will depend largely on how well you can control it from derailing your thinking during those severe menopausal moments. You too can have a BEAUTIFUL MIND.

Hi Nat! Loving your posts thank you! Its so true if more people were to to stop take that moment they could stay on the correct side of the line. They say it’s a fine line between sanity and insanity.
