FEELING GUILTY

FEELING GUILTY

Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!

I always tell women, get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions, one of them being guilt, and we know how debilitating these feelings can be to the soul, you can go into days of depression dealing with these conjured up emotions. For some women, menopause has a way mimicking feeling of guilt even when you haven’t necessarily done anything to feel guilty about at that moment, its like your mind is reaching back into your past, filtering through its memory banks and targeting in on EVERY! SINGLE! Guilty feeling you’ve ever had! And replaying the situation that went with it! Some from the worst situations in your life! Things that you may have felt were resolved and have moved on from, but now! Your mind makes you relive them like it was yesterday! Feelings of guilt of something you may have said or did 20 years ago! This is insane! How can a women even begin to wrap her mind around something like this along with all of the other pressures she’s feeling from this new emotional bowl of soup she’s been given to eat? it wasn’t even on the MENU! This was no-where near part of her womanly plan of getting older. Many of us are totally unprepared for this! I mean, I heard women speak of hot flashes and some feeling of being a little more emotional than usual, BUT! I didn’t sign up for any of THIS! I’ve even herd through the grapevine, that some women going through Menopause only go through the physical part and not the emotional part, WHAT!

FORGETFULNESS

Forgetfulness

Are you finding yourself forgetting a lot?

Hmmm.. did I turn off the iron and lock the door?
Forgetfulness is another thing we menopausal women have to deal with. I am now the sticky and I note queen! If I go to the store without a list, chances are I won’t be returning home with ALL of the things I went there for. Gone are the days when all I needed was my trusty memory to back me up! Now a days, if it ain’t on paper or in my I-Notes, most likely it’s not Gonna happen! Second guessing myself as to if I turned off the iron, stove or if I locked my home or car door is a new way of life, I just can’t seem to remember if I did it or not! I mean, I know that most people forget things here and there, but since menopause I’ve noticed an escalation in my forgetfulness, let’s not even mention how I run into my room in urgency to get something, but when I arrive there, I have no idea what I went in there to get! Huh! That drives me crazy!  So I do what we all do, walk back out of the room until I can remember what I was going in there for in the first place. Lol! Really,  you have to laugh at yourself sometime. :0))
